After being the skinny kid for most of my life, I began working out in 2001. At first, I believed that all I needed to do was go to the gym and lift the heaviest weights possible. I quickly learned I was wrong. It took four years—and many mistakes—to understand that there is much more to fitness than just lifting heavy. I discovered that proper nutrition, smart dieting and proper recovery are essential parts of the process to getting into the best shape of your life. After earning my Personal Trainer Certification through AAA/ISMA in 2011, I felt compelled to pass on my knowledge to others and help them achieve their own goals and aspirations.
